About

After years working within the business world, including in management positions in major, well-known corporations, I returned to school at mid-life to begin my study of psychology. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the College of Santa Fe in Santa Fe, NM in 2004 and then earned my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpinteria, CA in 2006. I continued to study at Pacifica in order to gain my Ph.D. in Depth Psychology with an Emphasis in Psychotherapy in 2011. I am licensed to practice psychotherapy in California (Marriage and Family Therapist License: MFT #48965).

During many of my years of graduate study, I worked primarily with adolescents in clinics in the greater Los Angeles area, specializing in working with LGBT teens. It was from that work that I began to realize the need for better training and better resources for therapists who work with these young people. After years of research and writing, in 2014, I published Adolescent Males and Homosexuality: The Search for Self, to help fill that need for reliable information.

I currently maintain a psychotherapy practice serving individuals, couples, families and teens in West Hollywood, CA.
